On January 16th, twelve fifth grade students from The Williams School prepared 28 quarts of Brunswick Stew and 10 pounds of fresh collards. The stew will be distributed at the GAM food pantry and will allow single-parent and low-income households to have nutritious ready to eat meals. The collards will be used as part of a healthy meal at a Winter Shelter facility for the homeless.
We are grateful to these students and their adult “assistants” for their service to the community!
If you are interested in helping us to prepare and distribute fast, fresh, and easy meals, please send us a note through the volunteer submission form.
